RCHS Juniors began SAT testing today, and testing will continue for all juniors over the next several days. AP Biology is just one of the three AP science courses we offer at RCHS! This elective course is an excellent choice for highly motivated students who are interested in science and wanting a challenge, as well as students seriously considering a science-related major!
It does have two prerequisites: Pre-AP Biology and chemistry.
This course is taught by Mrs. Stevens.

Keep following us to learn more about the variety of AP courses offered at RCHS!!!

Social studies teachers Mrs. Holly Robinson and Mr. Sam Smith led students through a blended learning lesson focused on the challenges children faced during the Industrial Revolution. The two-day lesson included a rotation through five stations and incorporated a 3-D printed sculpture from released #D files from the Smithsonian Institute and printed by Mr. Travis Brenda's 3-D print class.
They were asked to explain and describe specific challenges children faced, how the children felt about the work they were doing, and how the children felt about school compared to work. In addition to analyzing data charts and tables about child labor over time, learners also engaged with a song connected to the life of a child worker during the Industrial Revolution, historical images, and other primary resources.
Students were excited about this blended learning activity!

We are celebrating FRYSC Week and want to recognize Mrs. Melinda Osborne and Mrs. Barbara Mullins! Mrs. Melinda and Mrs. Barb work daily to support our students and their families. They are often working behind the scenes, so it isn't always to get a picture of them in action, but it is easy to get pictures of just some of the many students and staff whose lives they touch.
Thank you, Mrs. Melinda & Mrs. Barb, for every kind word and action to support our students. And thank you for the cupcakes.
