Fall is a critical time of year for seniors when they are planning college visits and actively thinking about what comes next after graduation. One important question they are asking is "What does that require?"
Over the next several weeks, we are working to help students answer that question. We will be looking at some of the most popular career paths and jobs shared by students, and we will share some of the requirements needed for that career--whether that is to get into a specific program or to take specific classes within the program.
Plan today for the career you want tomorrow!

What a great week at RCHS!
One of the highlights for the week was Club Fair for RCHS students on Tuesday and Wednesday. This is the time that student reps from each of our clubs share club information with students in preparation for our Flex Club time in October. Several students signed up for our special School Day ACT and School Day SAT exams! Students can take these exams on a school day instead of coming in on a weekend, plus the cost of each exam is almost half the cost of the regular fee.

If a student experiences any concerns or issues with payment, they need to see Mrs. Susan Norton-Casey in Room 030 right away.

Members of Ed Rising spent today on the Asbury University campus attending the Educators Rising Regional Experience. They spent the day hearing from faculty and regional leaders, connecting with peers from other schools, and exploring what college life. #RocketLearnerstoRocketLeaders

Today, RCHS students participated in "See You at the Pole," an annual global day of student-led prayer. The event is 100% student-organized and student-led.

Principal Brandy Smith spent part of the day "student shadowing" senior Kenzi Trevino, getting to experience classes through a student's eyes. Thank you, Kenzi, for sharing part of your day!

Earlier this week, students in Mr. Teague's 3rd period participated in gallery walk while studying the foundations of government. Students stayed actively engaged in their learning as they moved to different images along the hallway! Thank you, Mr. Nicely, for the pictures!

We will be administering two college admissions exams on school days in October!
Students can take the ACT, the SAT, or both! These exams are open for students in Grades 9-12.

Thank you, Terry and Marlene Lawson with Kentucky Farm Bureau, for visiting us today and delivering a beginning-of-the-year treat for staff. The cake was delicious!!

Student Drivers:
Beginning Sept, 8th, all cars parked in the student lot will be required to display a current RCHS parking tag from the rearview mirror.

The deadline to submit your signed driving rules and regulations form AND your proof of insurance is this Friday, September 4.

Attention Student Drivers:
To receive a parking pass, you must provide all required materials to Mr. Steve McKinney. Please get your required materials in:
$20 fee for parking;
A current/valid proof of insurance;
All completed/signed paperwork.

Please complete this process as soon as possible.
