At a school-wide assembly on Friday, RCHS recognized those AP students who earned qualifying scores (3 or higher) in courses supported by a three-year partnership with Advance Kentucky. For every qualifiying score on an AP course exam in science, math, communications, and computer science, Advance Kentucky awarded personal checks for $100. In total, sixty-six students earned personal awards (and hard-earned college credit hours) totaling more than $7,000 through exams in these courses: AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP Computer Science A, AP Computer Science Principles, AP English Literature & Composition, AP English Language & Composition, AP Physics, AP Precalculus, and AP Seminar.
Graduates who earned financial awards can contact Mrs. Susan Norton-Casey (606-256-4816) to arrange pickup at the high school. Remaining checks will be mailed next week.
Congratulations to ALL of our AP students, and thank you to Advance Kentucky for providing both professional and student support!!
