When ordering the Cap & Gown Unit, you’ll go through these steps:
Cap & Gown – Select your height, weight, and gender to ensure the correct size. (Tassel included)
Tassels – This is an extra keepsake tassel. Choose “No Thanks” if you don’t want one.
Apparel – Optional senior apparel. Select “No Thanks” if you don’t want any.
Announcements – Optional graduation announcements. Select “No Thanks” if not needed.
Review & Checkout – Add to cart and proceed to checkout.

Yesterday, KDE announced that the spring college admissions exam required for all juniors in Kentucky will be the College Board's SAT. This is a switch from the ACT, which has been given to juniors for several years.
We are excited to say that RCHS already offers both the SAT and the ACT to our students, so the adjustment to a new spring assessment will be a smooth one. Both exams offer our students the chance to showcase their learning through exams that are accepted by colleges and universities in Kentucky and around the country. Both exams are also recognized by scholarship programs and for KEES funds.
The attached graphic provides a brief comparison of the two exams.
Registration is currently open for SAT School Day, PSAT School Day, SAT Saturdays, and ACT Weekends. See Ms. Susan Norton-Casey for more information!

Today was the first day of our 2025-2026 Club Fair! Freshmen and juniors had the chance to visit with representatives from each club to learn more information about them. Tomorrow, our sophomores and seniors will participate. Below, you can see some photos from today's event.

*Attention Drivers!! If you need to fulfill your graduate license requirement, sign up for Alive at 25. Mrs. Smith sent an email with the details and the link to sign up. The course is here at RCHS next Tuesday from 4pm-8pm in Room 027, which is the Dual Credit Lab

Tristan McKinney represented the Rockcastle FCCLA chapter at the Fall SEC Meeting this week, where the Kentucky FCCLA State Officer Team worked hard to lay the groundwork for an outstanding State Leadership Conference this spring. We are proud of Tristan’s leadership and excited to see the incredible conference this team is preparing for all FCCLA members across the state!

Please attend an important Senior Parent meeting at RCHS on Wednesday, September 17. The meeting will begin at 5:30 in the RCHS Library.
For over 20 years, Project Graduation provided RCHS seniors with a safe all-night celebration filled with games, food, prizes, and fun. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the (possible) return of Project Graduation for the Class of 2026.
Please attend an important Senior Parent meeting at RCHS on Wednesday, September 17. The meeting will begin at 5:30 in the RCHS Library.

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, a dedicated time to come together to raise awareness of suicide prevention. Just one conversation can change a life, so join us in wearing Purple for Hope on Wednesday, September 17.

1. Any student with prior competitive swimming experience who wants to be part of the high school swim team, stop by and see Mrs. Childress for more information. She is in Room 110.
2. Parking for tonight's game, the first on the new field, is going to be limited due to the construction at the RCMS. Students are asked to park in the back parking lot here at RCHS and use the shuttle bus system to get to the football field. The buses start running at 5:30 and will run continually until 7:30 kickoff. Shuttle services back to RCHS will pick up after halftime at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. Also, we will have vehicles on standby for anyone needing to return to their vehicle at any time.
3. Staff, you will be able to park beside the bus garage. You will have to drive down the road that goes behind the middle school to reach that area.
